Requirements

We are currently looking for a Senior Java Back End to join a challenging project, taking ownership of software components and contributing to the development of scalable, high-performing and reliable backend solutions using modern frameworks and Agile practices.

Required Competencies

• Strong/expert proficiency in Java Spring.
• Strong experience in backend software development, including designing, coding and enhancing software components.
• Experience taking ownership of software components and ensuring their quality and performance.
• Ability to analyse complex technical problems and propose effective solutions that improve system efficiency and reliability.
• Experience contributing to architectural discussions and helping define technical solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of software features.
• Ability to contribute to key technical decisions and provide solutions across multiple teams.
• Experience supporting and guiding less experienced colleagues through knowledge sharing and development best practices.
• Ability to take responsibility for team decisions and contribute to effective team performance.
• Strong understanding of modern software development and Agile practices.
• English – minimum C1.
• Availability to work 3 days per week at the office in Lisbon.

Preferred Competencies

• Microservices Architecture.
• Amazon Simple Queue Service (SQS).
• Docker.
• Kubernetes Architecture.
• MongoDB.
• MySQL.

Location

Lisbon – Hybrid.

Work Model

3 days per week at the office.

Salary Range

€1.500–€1.900 gross/month.
