SENIOR ENGINEER

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer responsible for designing data schemas, modelling data structures, managing releases, performing data migrations, monitoring database performance, troubleshooting issues, and supporting data infrastructure activities. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality data solutions, optimizing enterprise reporting environments, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of data platforms.

What You Will Do on a Daily Basis

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance data pipelines and data models.
• Create and evolve SAP Business Objects Universes while ensuring data quality and performance optimization.
• Manage SAP BO user groups, security restrictions, roles, and access profiles.
• Automate end-to-end deployment and release processes across multiple environments.
• Support SAP BO upgrades, migrations, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and technical documentation activities.

Your Key Skills

• Strong expertise in SAP Business Objects, including Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, Auditing, Promotion Management, and Lifecycle Management.
• Experience in SAP BO platform upgrades and migration projects, including migration from BO4 to BO5.
• Advanced knowledge of SAP BO security, administration, architecture, and governance.
• Experience with SAP Information Design Tool (IDT) and migration of complex UNV Universes to UNX.
• Strong database knowledge, SQL optimization skills, and Linux administration experience.

Your Main Qualifications

• University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience working with SAP platforms.
• Experience implementing and configuring SAP Business Objects in enterprise Linux environments.
• Hands-on experience with databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata, IBM DB2, or SAP Sybase.
• Experience with Python development, is a plus.
• Knowledge of Power BI, Alteryx, Dataiku, or similar analytics and data visualization platforms, is considered a plus.
• Experience with backup, disaster recovery, high availability, sizing, and performance optimization strategies, is a nice to have.
• Experience in large-scale SAP BI environments supporting hundreds or thousands of users and reports, is a plus.
• Knowledge of digital product deployments and third-party data governance, is a nice to have.
• Advanced level of English (written and spoken).
• Knowledge of French is considered a plus.
