Founded in 2021, the Airbus Global Business Services (AGBS) unit will be contributing to Airbus’ global success and play a vital role in Airbus’ transformation journey in standardization, harmonization, digitalisation and automation of end-to-end processes (e.g. Procure to Pay) of all overhead functions. Our target is that siloed ways of working / processes will be a relic of the past within the AGBS.

Responsibilities - your mission

Airbus has built on its strong European heritage to become truly international with roughly 180 locations and 12,000 direct suppliers globally. The company has aircraft and helicopter final assembly lines across Asia, Europe and the Americas, and has achieved a more than sixfold order book increase since 2000.

Position Summary

The Purchasing Specialist manages ordering activities for Procurement Commodities within France, Germany, Spain, the UK and Portugal. This also includes operational sourcing activities following the Procurement processes and strategies.

Essential Functions

• Review of Purchase Requests (PRs), Purchase Order (PO) creation / update and follow up of POs,
• Operational Sourcing Service Desk activities (provide support to internal stakeholders),
• Maintenance of info records (e.g. catalogues),
• Communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders (internal customers, buyers),
• Use of Airbus ERP Systems (SAP),
• Use of other specific tools (Coupa).

Additional Responsibilities

• Support the onboarding of new team members,
• Support the team leader in reporting tasks.
