Platform Engineer (Java)

What you'll need

• 7+ years of backend engineering experience
• A bachelor's degree in computer science, maths, physics, or similar field
• Production fluency in Java, or expertise in another backend language (Kotlin, Scala, Python, Go etc) and a readiness to work primarily in Java
• A track record of building core systems or foundational platforms that other engineers built on top of
• Distributed systems experience at a meaningful scale
• The ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Fluency in English

Nice to have

• A background in fintech or other high-volume transactional environment
• Experience in a startup or scale-up
• Event sourcing in production
• Open-source contributions to frameworks, libraries, or developer tooling

Compensation range

Krakow: PLN41,500 - PLN46,200 gross monthly Poland: PLN41,500 - PLN46,200 gross monthly Other locations: Compensation will be discussed during the interview process *Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, skills, and previous experience
