This is a hybrid role based in Lisbon, requiring two days per week on-site. You will work across backend and frontend technologies, combining C#/.NET, React, Next.js, REST APIs, databases, and DXP/CMS platforms while contributing to architectural decisions, engineering standards, and DevOps practices. The role also requires strong technical leadership skills, with the ability to guide teams, make sound architectural decisions, and communicate effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders. 3+ years Full Time Hybrid Lisbon (Portugal) €25,000–€35,000 gross per year Salary Range* Job No. 864

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy full stack applications using .NET Framework, .NET Core, and modern frontend frameworks. Apply best practices across coding, architecture, testing, and DevOps. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable system architectures and microservices-based solutions. Develop and maintain REST APIs, ensuring reliable integration between frontend and backend systems. Work with Optimizely CMS or comparable DXP/CMS platforms to deliver content-driven digital solutions. Build and optimise SQL and NoSQL database solutions for performance and scalability. Use GitHub workflows and actions to support development, integration, and deployment processes. Contribute to architectural decisions and technical standards. Support technical teams through guidance, problem-solving, and knowledge sharing. Stay up to date with relevant technologies and engineering practices to support continuous improvement.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

3–4+ years of professional experience as a C# .NET Developer. Strong experience with .NET Framework and .NET Core. Hands-on experience with DXP/CMS platforms such as Optimizely, Umbraco, or equivalent. Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases. Solid knowledge of REST APIs. Strong experience with React and Next.js, both mandatory. Strong technical leadership experience, with the ability to guide teams, make architectural decisions, and communicate effectively. Familiarity with DevOps practices and GitHub workflows and actions. Experience designing scalable system architectures and microservices. Engineering-focused mindset, with the ability to discuss and address performance, dependency management, communication, problem-solving, and technical investigation. English proficiency at B2 level or above, written and spoken.

Nice to Have

Experience with Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms. Experience with ASP.NET Core and Web API.

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification.

Salary & Benefits

Gross annual salary: €25,000–€35,000*, depending on experience and suitability for the role. Meal allowance. Flexible benefits package. Extra day off on your birthday.
