This is a hybrid role based in Lisbon, ideal for professionals with a strong background in Microsoft technologies and modern web development who combine hands-on engineering with the ability to contribute to technical and architectural decisions. Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and evolve full-stack web applications using C#, .NET technologies, and modern JavaScript frameworks. Build reliable and maintainable backend services and RESTful APIs, ensuring effective integration between applications and services. Develop modern and responsive frontend solutions using React and Next.js. Contribute to the definition and evolution of application and system architectures, with a focus on scalability, maintainability, and performance. Work within distributed and microservices-oriented architectures, contributing to technical decisions and implementation approaches. Develop and integrate solutions involving CMS and Digital Experience Platforms and other content-driven applications. Work with relational and NoSQL databases, ensuring efficient data access, performance, and scalability. Promote software engineering best practices across development, architecture, code quality, dependency management, testing, and delivery. Contribute to CI/CD and development automation using GitHub-based workflows and modern DevOps practices. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary and international teams, including developers, architects, product stakeholders, and other technical areas. Provide technical guidance and support engineering teams with problem-solving, technical investigation, and architectural decisions. Evaluate technologies and engineering practices that can improve the quality, reliability, and efficiency of delivered solutions.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

3+ years of professional experience with C# and .NET. Experience with .NET Framework and/or modern .NET/.NET Core environments. Strong experience developing full-stack web applications. Hands-on experience with React and Next.js. Experience with CMS or Digital Experience Platforms such as Optimizely, Umbraco, or comparable technologies. Solid knowledge of REST APIs, integrations, and service-oriented application development. Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases. Good understanding of scalable application architectures, distributed systems, and microservices. Experience contributing to technical and architectural decisions. Experience guiding other developers or contributing technical direction within engineering teams. Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices, particularly GitHub workflows and automation. Strong software engineering mindset, with attention to performance, maintainability, dependency management, code quality, troubleshooting, and technical investigation. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to communicate technical decisions clearly to different stakeholders. Fluent English, written and spoken.

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a comparable technical field.
