Back to Open Positions Mid Business Analyst MS Excel | Financial Information Systems | Reporting Systems We are looking for a Mid Business Analyst to join a team responsible for delivering financial interface solutions that support key reporting streams, including financial accounting, management accounting, liquidity reporting, and credit risk. This is a fully remote role based in Portugal, ideal for someone with experience in banking or financial services, strong analytical skills, and the ability to translate business requirements into functional solutions while coordinating multiple stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. 3+ years Full Time Remote Portugal €28,000–€31,000 gross per year Salary Range* Job No. 813

Key Responsibilities

Analyse business requirements and design functional solutions for financial and reporting systems. Define operational and accounting schemes based on business needs and project objectives. Design data flows and ensure the required information is available for finance and reporting systems. Produce functional and technical specifications for implementation teams. Coordinate activities across multiple stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery. Contribute to the evolution of chart of accounts when required. Define and support testing strategies to ensure solution quality. Execute accounting and reporting test phases. Provide post-implementation support to reporting users.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Technical Skills and Experience

3+ years of experience in banking, financial services, or a similar environment. Experience working as a Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, or similar. Knowledge of banking products and/or capital markets products. Understanding of financial information systems. Experience with project coordination or project management activities. Strong MS Excel skills. Knowledge of general accounting and/or banking accounting is highly valued. Experience creating functional specifications and supporting testing activities.

Soft Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Ability to work effectively with both business and technical teams. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.

Languages

Portuguese: Fluent. English: Intermediate.

Salary & Benefits

Gross annual salary: €28,000–€31,000, depending on experience and suitability for the role. Meal allowance. Flexible benefits package. Extra day off on your birthday.
