What We Are Looking For

We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join an international project in a dynamic and multicultural environment. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimizing database systems and business processes, ensuring high levels of data integrity, performance, availability, and reliability. You will work closely with development, operations, and support teams to support business-critical applications, improve operational efficiency, and ensure the stability of database and data processing environments. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with strong expertise in database technologies, Microsoft BI solutions, and infrastructure support within mission-critical environments.

What You Will Do on a Daily Basis

• Design, implement, and optimize database solutions supporting business and information systems requirements;
• Monitor and support critical business processes and applications;
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and database triggers for data manipulation and reporting;
• Work closely with development teams to improve business process outcomes and application performance;
• Administer and maintain database environments, ensuring availability, reliability, and integrity of data;
• Implement and manage backup and recovery solutions according to defined business strategies;
• Ensure database operational readiness and compliance with established standards;
• Provide technical support to development and application support teams;
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents impacting database performance, availability, or access to information;
• Participate actively in post-mortem analyses of major and recurring incidents;
• Monitor infrastructure and database environments through monitoring and visualization tools;
• Assess, recommend, and deploy innovative solutions to simplify, automate, and optimize operational processes and infrastructure costs;
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of database administration, monitoring, and support practices.

Your Main Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field;
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Database Administration, Infrastructure Engineering, Business Intelligence, or similar roles;
• Solid experience with the Microsoft BI stack, including SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS, preferably using Tabular Models;
• Strong experience developing, optimizing, and monitoring ETL processes;
• Advanced knowledge of SQL Server, including SQL development, stored procedures, and database functions;
• Experience with SQL performance tuning, partitioning, and indexing;
• Strong knowledge of backup, recovery, and database maintenance strategies;
• Experience with Power BI;
• Experience with Master Data Services;
• Knowledge of C#,.NET, and PowerShell;
• Strong root cause analysis and troubleshooting skills;
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, ELK, Zabbix, or similar solutions;
• Strong understanding of ITIL practices and operational support processes;
• Experience working with DevOps methodologies and CI/CD pipelines;
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills;
• Fluency in Portuguese and in English;
• Knowledge of Spanish is considered a plus.
