Enterprise Architect

About KLx KLx is the Portuguese subsidiary of Crédit Agricole S.A., a large international banking group that provides IT Skills & Software Development services to the IT organisations within the Group's business lines. Our mission is to support the IT transformation and activities of a worldwide bank, capitalising on the expertise of our international campus in Lisbon. You will join the KLx IT Department in a strategic and cross-functional role, working closely with IT leadership, Product Owners, business stakeholders, technical teams, security, data and external partners. As a Senior Enterprise Architect, you will help establish and develop KLx's enterprise architecture capability. Starting from a largely greenfield environment, you will define pragmatic architecture principles, governance practices and target trajectories that support the evolution of KLx's information systems.

• About responsibilities:
• Enterprise Architecture & Strategy
• Define and maintain the target architecture vision across applications, data, integration, infrastructure, operations and security.
• Ensure alignment between business priorities, the IT roadmap, technology choices and Group standards.
• Assess architecture scenarios and recommend pragmatic, sustainable solutions.

• Support IT leadership by preparing architecture options and recommendations for key decisions.

• Architecture Governance & Standards

• Establish lightweight architecture principles, standards and governance practices.
• Create practical review processes, documentation templates and architecture decision records.
• Define clear guidelines for SaaS solutions, OutSystems developments, integrations and future Java and Python components.

• Track architecture risks, exceptions, dependencies and improvement plans.

• Information Systems Mapping & Project Support

• Build and maintain a clear view of the application, data and integration landscape.
• Identify technical debt, obsolescence, integration risks and simplification opportunities.
• Support strategic IT and business initiatives from the early framing stage.

• Evaluate architectural fit, security implications, operational readiness and integration complexity.

• Stakeholder Coordination & Architecture Culture

• Coordinate architecture topics across business, IT, security, data, operations and external partners.
• Ensure alignment on architecture topics across IT teams and key stakeholders.
• Promote knowledge sharing and make architecture principles accessible and actionable.

• Encourage pragmatic architecture practices adapted to KLx's size and evolving IT environment.

• Who You Are

• Significant experience in Enterprise Architecture, IS Architecture, Solution Architecture or major IT transformation programmes.
• Strong understanding of application architecture, integration patterns, APIs, data flows and SaaS ecosystems.
• Experience defining architecture principles, standards, governance models or architecture repositories.
• Good understanding of cloud-related patterns, security, data architecture and operational readiness.
• Exposure to OutSystems or other low-code platforms would be valuable.
• Sufficient technical knowledge to guide decisions involving Java, Python, APIs and modern software engineering practices.
• Ability to balance strategic vision with pragmatic and hands-on execution.
• Strong communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
• Architecture certifications such as TOGAF, ArchiMate or equivalent would be advantageous.

• Professional proficiency in French and a good level of English.
