This is a hybrid role based in Lisbon, requiring two days per week on-site. The opportunity is ideal for professionals with a background in systems, infrastructure, or IT operations who want to strengthen their experience in cybersecurity. Key Responsibilities

Contribute to the operation and continuous improvement of Linux and Unix environments. Support security monitoring activities and analyse relevant system and security events. Investigate technical issues using logs, monitoring information, and other available system data. Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through automation and scripting. Develop and maintain scripts using Python, Bash, Shell, or similar technologies. Collaborate with infrastructure, operations, and security teams on technical and security-related topics. Support the investigation and resolution of incidents affecting systems and infrastructure. Contribute to the implementation and improvement of security practices across technical environments. Participate in initiatives focused on strengthening system resilience, monitoring, and operational security. Support continuous improvement across automation, troubleshooting, and security operations.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in systems, infrastructure, IT operations, DevSecOps, cybersecurity, or a related field. Good knowledge of Linux and Unix environments. Experience or knowledge of security monitoring and SIEM technologies. Experience with scripting using Python, Bash, Shell, or similar technologies. Good understanding of systems, infrastructure, and security concepts. Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities. Ability to investigate technical problems and identify appropriate solutions. Ability to collaborate effectively with different technical teams. Comfortable working within multidisciplinary and international environments. Intermediate English, written and spoken. Interest in developing further within cybersecurity and security operations.

Qualifications

Academic background in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
