Roles and Responsibilities
- Adherence to and promotion of company safety and quality policies.
- Onsite co-ordination between mechanical and other disciplines.
- Monitoring and delivering of project construction schedule.
- Attending on-site co-ordination meetings with client.
- Co-ordinating and monitoring labour and plant requirements with site supervisors.
- Supervision of project sub-contractors.
- Reporting directly to the project manager on all aspects of the project.
- Working closely with site engineers and safety officers to achieve project goals.
- Closely monitoring labour loading at all times to ensure that all costs are minimized.
- Ensuring that all project variations are recorded for the project QS.
Requirements
- Have a minimum of 10 years’ experience working on mechanical projects in the pharmaceutical or oil and gas industries.
- Ideally the candidate would be a time served fitter or would possess a mechanical engineering qualification.
- Have an excellent understanding of piping isometric and general arrangement drawings.
- Possess exceptionally good organisational skills with good time management ability, working to deadlines / prioritising.
- Self-starter who is committed to achieve an excellent standard of work.
- An orderly systematic approach to problem solving will be a prerequisite for carrying out this role.
- Strong team player with ability to interact with clients and colleagues at all levels.
