About the Team

We are looking for an experienced Charging Team Lead to own and evolve our online and offline charging capabilities. This role combines technical authority, people leadership, and delivery ownership across the charging domain and mediation and billing integrations. As Charging Team Lead, you will guide the team responsible for designing, implementing, operating, and scaling high-volume charging solutions that rate usage events accurately and in real time.

You will work closely with Product, IT, Finance, Operations, and Billing teams to translate business needs into reliable platform capabilities while building the technical knowledge and operational maturity of the team. You will be part of an international environment where engineering ownership, customer focus, accountability, and collaboration are expected. About the Role

Lead the charging engineering team day to day, setting priorities, managing delivery plans, and ensuring predictable, on-time execution. Interpret business needs from customers, stakeholders, and product managers, translating them into clear technical designs and actionable development tasks. Own the technical direction for the charging domain, balancing short-term delivery pressure with long-term platform resilience, scalability, and maintainability. Design, document, and communicate solution architectures, including technical impact, effort, dependencies, and resource requirements. Lead by example through hands-on technical guidance, design reviews, code reviews, and pragmatic engineering decision-making. Act as a subject matter expert for all real-time rating and charging and offline charging mediation. Ensure seamless integration between charging, mediation, billing, CRM/BSS, and network systems. Oversee configuration work, Diameter-based network integrations, charging flow monitoring, event rating accuracy, and platform stability. Contribute to capacity planning, performance tuning, and platform evolution so the charging estate remains resilient and cost-efficient as the business scales. Promote and enforce best practices in AI assisted development, coding standards, software quality, automated testing, CI/CD, deployment reliability, and full lifecycle ownership. Ensure observability, security, networking, and operational readiness are considered across new and existing charging capabilities. Participate in recruitment and uphold high standards for technical excellence across the team.
