This is a hybrid role based in Lisbon, requiring three days per week on-site. You will work within an application support and maintenance environment, helping ensure operational stability, effective incident resolution, and the continuous improvement of business-critical services. Key Responsibilities

Provide application support for a critical claims management platform. Monitor services and respond to incidents, service requests, and recurring operational issues. Perform functional and technical analysis to support troubleshooting and root cause identification. Execute data analysis and validation using SQL Server. Support post-release validation activities and follow established deployment and change processes. Collaborate with business, development, and operations teams to ensure effective issue resolution and delivery of fixes. Produce and maintain support documentation, including procedures, FAQs, and incident logs. Contribute to continuous service improvement by identifying recurring patterns and proposing operational optimisations. Support the stability and reliability of business-critical applications within a Run/Operations environment. Assess the operational impact of business requirements and technical changes.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

1–3 years of professional experience in application support or a similar role. Knowledge of programming concepts, including object-oriented programming. Strong SQL Server skills for data analysis and validation. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Strong attention to detail. Ability to understand business requirements and assess their operational impact. Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset. Proactive and autonomous approach to problem-solving. Willingness to learn and develop within a Run/Operations environment.

Nice to Have

Previous experience within the insurance sector. Experience with insurance claims processes. Understanding of ITIL practices, including Incident, Problem, and Change Management. Experience with ticketing and/or monitoring tools. Experience working with SLAs and critical applications. Knowledge of insurance business processes.

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent.

Salary & Benefits

Gross annual salary: €15,000–€18,000* depending on experience and suitability for the role. Meal allowance. Flexible benefits package. Extra day off on your birthday.
